OUR CHICKEN LAKSA
Our own take of Laksa has its origins in the Moslem Chinese community and can be found in many Asian countries and the flavours vary immensely from place to place. Our Laksa derives its origins from the southern part of Thailand.
Our Chef known to us as “Nop” has had a passion for cooking instilled from her parents at a very young age. Nop passed on the bakery she used to own to one of her sisters. Nop took her passion for Thai Cooking to the world-famous “Oriental Hotel” in Bangkok where she completed her training at OHAP. The School of Oriental Hotel Apprenticeship Program. Nop has also owned her own restaurant in Bangkok, and here in South Australia we have owned “The Wild Thai” restaurant and now “Tanapa Thai”. Tanapa Thai is simply the centre for nice Thai Food.

Thawanrat’s authentic and traditional Thai cuisine will take you on a delightful journey through many parts of Thailand.

Tanapa Thai is the love child of a husband and wife team, Nop and Garrath. With Nop’s cooking experience and Garrath’s resourcefulness, opening a restaurant together made perfect sense. In business together as of 2006, both their marriage and enterprise have been thriving.
